Last year, not long after Te Manawa opened, Sam and I got the chance to go and capture some images in this gorgeous space. Libraries are definitely not what they were when we were kids. They are becoming gorgeous architectural community buildings with so many multipurpose areas, and really thoughtful design that is both interesting and practical. ⁠⠀

@graceatthemuseum checking out the @te_uru-gallery Netsuke exhibition. This show concluded not long after these images were taken, but Te Uru is a gorgeous gallery space and well worth the visit either way. There is always something new and interesting to look at.

Not long before the second lockdown in Auckland, @graceatthemuseum asked me to come and capture her in action doing a talk at @te_uru_gallery ⁠⠀

I love this photograph so much, and when @sampford_ suggested I enter in the @nzipp_national Iris Awards for the first time with it, I was hesitant. I was worried judging panel wouldn’t see in it what I do. But they did 💙 ⠀

And I never thought that my first award winning photo would be on medium format film! Wild and so so cool 🥰⠀
