My Life on 35mm #6 | Superia 400 - 15 Years Expired!
It's finally time! The first roll of expired film is finally scanned and ready to go and I'm super excited to share it. Almost as excited as I was to see the scans. I had never shot expired film before this roll, and the whole thing was a completely new experience.
Some of the shots on the roll I love, but some of them we're shots I feel like I wasted a bit. When I went to shoot it I was worried about the output. This and the other expired roll I found had been sitting in my Dad's film bag, unrefrigerated, for over 15 years and I had no idea what to expect from them. That in mind, the last thing I wanted to do was shoot really special photos and have them not turn out. What I did instead was hang out at my friend Zara's house for the afternoon one Sunday while she did more of her van to campervan renovation and shot her working on that, as well as just bits and pieces around her garden.
That being said, I'm really excited about how these came out! There are some gorgeous garden shots that I managed to get in all of this. The next roll I have I will be sure to carefully craft all the photos so as to take full advantage of the expired film vibe while I have it. I only have one more roll.
This was a 24 shot roll, so a shorter post than normal, and I have not included every single shot. Some of them were just totally wasted shots but there are some gorgeous ones in here too, so I'm not too upset with myself.

A very sad looking mock up of the cupholder they built haha

Sidenote:
Jinx is not wearing a shock collar here. She is wearing a bark collar that sprays something at her chin when activated. She isn't my dog so I don't know the specifics, but it's meant to be more of an annoyance than something painful. It stopped her barking at nothing after about a week and she no longer wears it unless she is being really bad.
